Celsius Just Got Boozy and It Wasn’t on Purpose

Attention Celsius Devotees! Celsius is not an energy drink anymore; instead, it has become a vodka drink. Although unintentionally, some of the Celsius cans are now filled with vodka due to a mishap caused by High Noon. Hence, High Noon, a popular cocktail maker, has issued a recall notice. This is mainly for Celsius drinks distributed between 21st July and 23rd July, 2025.

Celsius Just Got Boozy and It Wasn’t on Purpose

Let’s get into the nitty gritty of how it happened and why it happened. Read the inside scoop here.

What Did The Recall Notice From High Noon Say?

High Noon issued a recall notice on the US Food and Drug Administration website (USFDA). High Noon stated that some of their Beach variety packs are mislabelled as Celsius.

This incident occurred as a shared packaging supplier delivered empty Celsius-labeled cans to High Noon. Unaware, High Noon’s production facility filled them with vodka seltzer, then packed them into High Noon Beach Variety cases, resulting in the mislabeling error

These alcohol cans are labelled as Celsius Astro Vibe, Sparkling Blue Razz edition. A quick way to identify them is that this edition has black caps rather than silver ones. So, it would be best to ditch black -capped Celsius cans for now.

Why This Mishap Took Place?

The recall notice states that the mishap happened because of High Noon’s packaging suppliers. The packaging suppliers mistakenly delivered empty cans of Celsius to High Noon.

This became the root cause of this issue. Unaware, High Noon filled these empty cans with alcohol.

Where Are These Mislabelled Celsius Cans Shipped?

These mislabelled Celsius cans are shipped to Florida, Ohio, and South Carolina. Some of them are also shipped to Virginia, Wisconsin, and New York. Some of these Celsius cans are also shipped to Michigan and Oklahoma.

What Action Did The US Food And Drug Administration Take?

So far, no issues have been reported. However, the US Food and Drug Administration has issued an official statement for Celsius drinkers to be cautious. Consumers are even advised to dispose of Celsius drinks with these LOT codes:

L CCC 17JL25 14:00 to L CCC 17JL25 23:59

L CCC 18JL25 00:00 to L CCC 18JL25 30:00

L CCB 02JL25 2:55 to L CCB 02JL25 3:11

Where can you find these LOT codes? At the bottom of the can. On the other hand, High Noon drinks are not affected by this recall. Hence, people enjoying this particular drink do not need to be cautious.
