PepsiCo Introduces New Prebiotic Sodas For Fall Of 2025: Original Cola & Cherry Vanilla

PepsiCo is launching its first-ever prebiotic sodas in two different flavors in the fall of 2025. The flavors are Original Cola and Cherry Vanilla. While they will have the taste of regular Pepsi Cola, these prebiotic sodas are composed with the needs of healthy consumers in mind.

PepsiCo Launches Prebiotic Sodas For Fall Of 2025 With Two New Flavors

Once fall is here, customers can order these variants of PepsiCo online. Starting from 2026, customers can expect one 12-ounce can of PepsiCoCo or 8 packs of 12-ounce cans of PepsiCoCo in retail shops as well.

How Will PepsiCo’s Prebiotic Cola Taste Like?

The whole world is a fan of PepsiCo’s usual Cola, but how will PepsiCo’s prebiotic cola taste? PepsiCo’s prebiotic cola will come in two different flavors. One is Cherry Vanilla, while the other one is Original Cola.  Both will retain the authentic taste of PepsiCo, with a few adjustments to offer customers healthy, carbonated drinks that stay true to the brand.

As per PepsiCo, the new PepsiCo prebiotic soda will taste the same. However, it will have “5 grams of cane sugar, no artificial sweeteners, and 30 calories.” Additionally, it will also have 3 grams of prebiotic fibre.

Why PepsiCo Is Entering The Prebiotic Soda Market In 2025?

After the lawsuit was filed against Poppi, PepsiCo acquired the company in May of 2025 as a strategic bet on functional beverages. Chris Hall, the CEO of PepsiCo, said that “Their partnership and resources will be instrumental as we scale to our next phase of growth.”

This next phase of growth is prebiotic sodas. As a beverage brand, PepsiCo’s focus on prebiotic sodas can help it rebrand. Additionally, Poppi has established a significant presence in the market due to its prebiotic drinks. Hence, partnering with it can give PepsiCo the upper hand it needs to launch into the era of healthy, prebiotic drinks.

Are PepsiCo’s New Prebiotic Sodas Good For Gut Health?

The debate over whether sodas are healthy has been ongoing for a long time. Although prebiotic sodas are considered to be a healthier version of beverages for your gut health, let’s not forget that prebiotic soda alone has no power to cure your gut health in one go.

If you consume too much of prebiotic soda of any brand, then it can cause bloating or diarrhea. However, let’s not dismiss prebiotic sodas as bad for your body. Most prebiotic sodas have two to nine grams of prebiotic fibre, which is good for your body, and that is where PepsiCoCo’s focus is.
